One of the most popular options of desktop software that is available to use with finding broken links is Screaming Frog. This tool is a very popular SEO tool that you can utilize for free.
After you have downloaded and installed this program you can use it by performing the following steps:
- Add your site’s URL to the box at the top and click ‘Start’.
- The ‘Response Code’ option can also be used to filter 404 pages and then you can use the ‘InLinks’ feature at the bottom, to find the 404 pages.
